Second night of anti-Trump protests spread across nation

Anti-Trump protests are in full swing yet again — with thousands taking to the streets of Baltimore and the Big Apple for a second straight night.
“Hey hey, ho ho, Donald Trump has got to go,” demonstrators chanted at a rally outside Trump Tower.
“No Trump, no hate,” they continued.
Countless people have been gathering outside the president-elect’s NYC headquarters throughout the evening — conducting sit-ins and periodically blocking traffic on 56th Street near Fifth Avenue, while others chose to meet up at Union Square.
“[We’re here] to let him know that we exist,” said Heba Halabi, a 19-year-old Muslim from the Bronx. “I feel terrified. I might live the next four years of my life in fear of being killed or my family being targeted.”
Later in the day in Los Angeles, a small band of anti-Trump protesters marched onto a freeway near downtown, blocking traffic until police cleared them away.
The crowd at Union Square began marching uptown along Fifth Avenue around 7:30 p.m., shouting, “We reject the president-elect.”
They added, “Don’t just watch us, come and join us!”
NYPD officers were later spotted on scooters attempting to corral the demonstrators. The group eventually converged with the other agitators at Trump Tower.
“I’m a Mexican woman living in the US,” explained Kristina Hernandez, a 23-year-old from Texas.
“I love my country. I have family in the military,” she said, holding back tears. “I feel it’s my right to be out here to protest against a commander-in-chief that refers to the military as nothing more than boots on the ground or that refers to my father and brothers as criminals.”
While the demonstrations have remained peaceful, things nearly turned violent outside Trump Tower around 8:30 p.m., when a Trump supporter decided to drop the “n-word” during a dispute with a black woman who was in the crowd.

The man pushed the woman and told her to “go back to Africa” — prompting another protester to step in. The Trump lover shoved him, too, before eventually walking away.
“Hillary Clinton for months called Trump a racist and a bigot. All incorrect,” the man said. “These people are jumping on Hillary’s lies. I said slavery should be corrected and [the female protester] got pissed. I told her off and someone helped her. I pushed him. F-ck them.”
While cops ultimately chose to ignore the incident, the woman managed to get her revenge moments later — by sneaking up on the man and pouring a cherry Icee down the back of his neck.
Most of the protesters in NYC on Thursday night had very personal reasons for demonstrating, though many said they simply wanted to vent.
“I’m out here because f-ck this guy,” fumed Michelle Vargas, 37, of Bay Ridge. “How can you let the devil in office?”
In Baltimore, hundreds of people gathered near Johns Hopkins University around 6 p.m. to voice their dissatisfaction with the election results. They marched for several blocks — also snarling traffic along the way.
“Say no to Donald Trump, say no to fear,” the crowd chanted.
As the masses took to the streets in New York and Baltimore, many carried signs saying things such as “NOT MY PRESIDENT” and “AmeriKKKa.”
Other demonstrations were said to be taking place in San Francisco as well.
